Attached is a note by the Renbel MP, Dr Tautai Kaitu'u (Medicine) boasting to our village people Renbel and critics about his academic credential, while attempting to justify his failure as a caretaker Minister of Health. I reserve my view for now. Here is Renbel MP's rumbling.Let me clarify some points raised by the most desperate candidate about me in other pages.1.The shortage of drugs-The shortage was not due to lack of funds. It was a procurement problem and this has been rectified once and for all.2.Being called the most imcompetent Minister of Health.Thats is not true.Do you know any other mInisters of health in the past ?.You have to know some other competent ministers in the past to make such comparative statements.3.The MPs tax free salary. We MPs do not make the decisions here about our pays.Even high school students know it very well that the PEC decides on our entitlements.4.We Renbel people would like see some hard evidence of some of these qualifications that have been highly promoted in the H2H campaigning.5.I am not a failure.I startd my education in the village without failing a single unit until my graduation with degrees in Medicine and surgery and awarded gold medal in surgery. Twenty two years had past and we yet to have another graduate with medical degree.I challenge our people to take up medicine.6.With all these qaulifications, what good have these done to yourself people your family?.Still lodging with relatives and driving someone's vehicle in town?.
Calling me being incompetent?.
One day the beds in the hospital I built at Tigoa will become very handy.7.I tabled the The child and Family Protection Bill in 2017. Only new commer to table a Bill in the 10th Parliament. And I will do more as my techinical team are working on some Bills. As I said there will be a government that will govern Renbel people for the next 4 years.AUE Dr T A Kaituu

Thank you for sharing the former MPs comments, which I was unaware of because he had blocked me from accessing his FB pages. He should have the courage to engage in public debate.
I respond in this way. The former MP's record as the most incompetent health minister this country has ever seen is self-evident. Never in the history of our country had our hospitals and clinics gone without medicine. This is the most basic reason hospitals and clinics exist - for the sick to be treated with medicine, not to be told by nurses and doctors that 'we can't help you because the medicine cabinet is empty.' The state of medical equipment and buildings is shamefully below third world standard. Rather than try and defend the indefensible, he should hang his head for the shame he has brought this country and our constituency.
Interestingly, the incompetent health minister admits funding for medicine was not the issue, contrary to popular belief. He admits procurement was the issue. This demonstrates his utter incompetence. Procurement is smack centre of his purview. He clearly failed to follow the existing procurement procedure that has worked for the country and with his predecessors. He by-passed the normal procurement process, setting up his own unprocedural unit in the ministry of health, attempting to use unofficial cronies in Australia, for reasons only he and the devil know. We all paid the price for his immoral intents - medical supplies stopped coming and our relations died as a result.
It speaks volumes when a leading medical professional described Tautai Kaitu'u in the media as either ignorant and/or disconnected as health minister. Another medical professional described him as having no orientation to self, time and place.
I am independent and self-reliant, and I need not justify to him my attitude to material things. I have all that I need, and I provide when the need for it presents itself, not have things in place as a status symbol. In particular, it is shameful that his true intent for getting into Parliament has emerged, for he embodies the politics of self-enrichment. Boasting about ill-gained wealth, at the expense of truly needy constituents, is not something a person with a conscience would brag about. To the contrary, he should be ashamed of it.
With regards to the parasitic tax-free status he enjoyed, it is not a satisfactory response that he hides in the loins of the PEC and pleads ignorance and innocence. MPs have representation in the PEC. MPs vote on this matter when it comes before Parliament. He gleefully supported this immoral and unethical position, perhaps he cares not about such. How can it be defensible that the cleaners pays tax and he does not.
As for the tabling of a bill in Parliament, all it involves is putting his name to a bill. That's all. Perhaps he would consider the fact that he is breathing an "achievement".
